Picture 1 of 2

Story Behind the Still: While Jesus had a divine energy to walk on the water - this little creature used his extreme speed to do the same. When I first saw this miracle, I knew I could not return home without photographing the moment. The Double-crested Basilisk (Basiliscus plumifrons) lives around the rainforest pools of Santa Rita, Costa Rica. Walking around this area, I learned where they liked to sunbathe, where waited long enough to capture this image, of one 'running on the surface of the water'.
